Do NOT do in Super Smash Bros. Brawl:

1. Fly into Kirby or Dedede's mouth

2. Try to make friends with Dedede's Waddle Dee minions

3. Thinking Falco/Fox/Wolf's guns are friendly shooting stars

4. Underestimating a fungi (that's Kirby. They say he's a puffball. Puffballs are fungi)

5. Not KOing creatures that look cute

6. Spaaks are NOT Krackos, and do NOT drop Waddle Doos, so don't be scared of them. When they turn black they're NOT Spaak's Revenge, so ARG! Forget it.

7. Complaining that Mewtwo was gone and they replaced it with dumb Lucario (Lucario is actually good!!!)

8. Saying that Tabuu is a naked guy with butterfly wings. Yes, he's got butterfly wings, but he's apparently made out of energy and got too lazy to put some clothes on.

Now, I realize the posts are slightly messed up (find them in the Blog Archive), but I think you'll do fine. Welcome to the world of Super Smash. Bros Brawl.

Which game series deserves another character appearance in Brawl?

IN FOCUS: RARE POKEMON

There are 31 different Pokemons in Brawl, as followed:

Bellossom
Bonsly
Celebi
Chikorita
Deoxys
Electrode
Entei
Gardevoir
Goldeen
Groudon
Gulpin
Ho-oh
Jirachi
Kyogre
Latias
Latios
Lugia
Manaphy
Meowth
Metagross
Mew
Moltres
Munchlax
Piplup
Snorlax
Staryu
Suicune
Togepi
Torchic
Weavile
Wobbuffet

28 of them can be spawned in Training Mode. The rest can only be spawn in a Brawl.

Those three are the rare Pokemon. If you get one it comes complete with a congratulations screen! The three rare Pokemon are Mew, Jirachi, and Celebi! I'll start with with Mew.

Mew

Mew is, obviously, a Pokemon. He is a rare Pokemon in every Smash Bros. game, and each time its appearance grows rarer. Obviously, Mew can't be spawn in Training Mode, so you can only get him in Brawl.

In Super Smash Bros., Mew had a chance of 1/151 of appearance. In Melee is was 1/251 and in Brawl it was 1/493.

In Super Smash Bros., Mew was a dud, just like Goldeen is in Brawl. Mew just hovers for a second, and flies off. Done. Sometimes you don't even notice him. You are awarded the Mew Catcher, but still... In the game, he had 1/151 of a chance to appear, and that happens to be the number of Pokemon available at the time when the game came out.

In Melee, Mew is another dud. The only difference is that he appears in a bubble. Yet, he can only be seen if you unlock all characters, which is pretty lame if you want to see a Pokemon you can only see with a 1/251 chance of appearance. The Mew Trophy is earned by completing Hard or Very Hard on All-Star, continues allowed. 251 is the number of Pokemon available when Melee came out.

In Brawl, Mew actually does something. He drops CDs. The end. He's the rarest this time, and you also get a notice if it's your first time, like Melee. Obviously, 1/493 chances, with 493 Pokemon at the time Brawl came out. If you have all CDs, Mew drops stickers. He's still inside his stupid bubble. Lol.

Jirachi

Jirachi is obviously another rare Pokemon. Duh. Jirachi is a newcomer in Brawl, with a 1/493 chances of appearance. Jirachi actually does something: dropping stickers. That's it. No attacks. Then again, all rare Pokemon drops something...

Celebi

Celebi is a lot of people's favorite rare Pokemon. Celebi appeared in Melee first.

In SSBM, Celebi only appears once all stages and characters are unlocked, the Sound Test has been unlocked, and all Events are completed. After that, the chance of appearance is STILL 1/251. Lame, right? True, in Event 37 - Legendary Pokemon, Celebi has a double-chance of spawning. But 2/251 isn't really that huge, either. Like Mew, Celebi flies off the screen when spawn without any attacks. You get the Celebi trophy and the Celebi Catcher, though.

In SSBB, Celebi returns (duh, it's the Brawl Page, after all). Celebi appears with a 1/493 chance, like Mew and Jirachi. Anyways, Celebi drops trophies, which saves you the trouble of finding them yourself. He'll spawn multiples of them, so pick them off before they fly off the screen. Don't push them off, either. Be gentle with trophies. Oh, whatever.

There you go. Rare Pokemons of Brawl. I'm letting you guys choose what the next In Focus should be, so if no one pipes up by the end of a week I'm picking something myself. Lol.

Not like I have anything else to do apart from sleeping and breathing. ;)

  4. I think I'll deal with Marth first... after that I'll do Shadow Bugs and then Fox, and after that maybe Sakurai's cat... about the cat remark it's not a joke. seriously. lol.

  5. LOL!

No one knows aything about Marth besides his extremely awesome Final Smash and that he's from Fire Emblem. Plus, he speaks Japanese, which is weird considering that Ike speaks English. Oh well, Fire Emblem is a mysterious game...

About taunts, Kirby can drive one to his death with his "HII!" taunt. The Links have awesome taunts in their blood, considering Toon Link swings his sword like a maniac and then drops to the floor panting. Then Link whips around his sword and sheathes it. I mean, these guys could KO!

  6. The reason why Marth speaks japanese is because his appearance game was published only in Japan and didn't come out in English before Brawl was made... and marth is the only one with a positive 100% KO guarantee... unless if there's a wall or Marth KO's himself in mid-air. Yes, for all those Marth players, DO NOT TRY TO HIT SOMEONE IN MIDAIR UNLESS YOU ARE VERY SKILLED AND IS SURE THAT YOU WILL HIT!!!

then again, i jumped over Marth's Critical Hit once with a block over my head. lol.

  7. And on a second thought... I think I'll deal with Fox first... Marth is WAY too complicated for me to understand. all i know is that he's got blue hair and he pwns butt. lol.

  8. Oh, just as a random afterthought...

You know how goldeen does absolutely nothing?
    Well, turns out...
If you hit it with a hammer (idr if it has to be golden) it goes psycho and shoots water everywhere (actualy, *gasp*, does damage!)

Just a random thought, but hey, thats what I'm good at ;]
