Do NOT do in Super Smash Bros. Brawl:

1. Fly into Kirby or Dedede's mouth

2. Try to make friends with Dedede's Waddle Dee minions

3. Thinking Falco/Fox/Wolf's guns are friendly shooting stars

4. Underestimating a fungi (that's Kirby. They say he's a puffball. Puffballs are fungi)

5. Not KOing creatures that look cute

6. Spaaks are NOT Krackos, and do NOT drop Waddle Doos, so don't be scared of them. When they turn black they're NOT Spaak's Revenge, so ARG! Forget it.

7. Complaining that Mewtwo was gone and they replaced it with dumb Lucario (Lucario is actually good!!!)

8. Saying that Tabuu is a naked guy with butterfly wings. Yes, he's got butterfly wings, but he's apparently made out of energy and got too lazy to put some clothes on.

Now, I realize the posts are slightly messed up (find them in the Blog Archive), but I think you'll do fine. Welcome to the world of Super Smash. Bros Brawl.

Which game series deserves another character appearance in Brawl?

ALL STICKERS

Here's what we're doing today. I'm going to list all the characters, and the names in italics are the names of the only people who can use them, nothing means all. Sometimes it'll say something like Kirby series or Mario series which means that's when I'm too lazy to type a few words. I'm not going to list what they do and what series they're from, but if I have spare time I might do it. Caution: Very Long List.

IN FOCUS: PIT

For this In Focus, we're going to be talking about... the young angel with wings (obviously)... Pit! Okay, you can see from the title, though. Anyways, let's get going.

INTRODUCTION

There's not much to say, really. Pit is the only playable character from the Kid Icarus series, being the head of a bunch of bodyguards for the Sky Goddess, Palutena. He was greatly changed in looks from his games to Brawl. Yeah, Pit is a newcomer. Anyways, his hair was darkened in color with more spikes sprouting, his legs lengthened and grew skinnier, his arms grew longer along with his wings, and his heart arrow was replaced with the blue energy-like arrow instead.

HISTORY

PREVIOUS GAMES

Pit wasn't exactly popular. He had two games, the earliest one considered a sister game to Metroid (the game where Samus and ZSS are from) due to the fact that they were released on the exact same day. Pit's first game came out in 1987 (seriously) under the name Kid Icarus. His second game was called Kid Icarus: Myths and Monsters, and it was released for the Game Boy. It was never released in japan, but on a totally unrelated topic it used the engine for Metroid II: Return of Samus very much like Kid Icarus had done for the original Metroid. As of today these are the only two games in the series, but if you count Brawl... nah, that won't work.

IN BRAWL

Pit is more of the... I dunno... the guy who had disappeared for sixteen years but suddenly came back again? Brawl was his third game appearance after Kid Icarus and Myths and Monsters. He was changed, duh, read the introduction. However he is a favorite to many Brawlers, due to some of the many reasons: he has great recovery, no doubt among the best in the game because of his up-B (Wings of Icarus). Second, his neutral B Palutena's Arrow is brilliant in hitting farther characters, and it can be controlled although it flies rather fast. Ranking 13th on the current tier list *cough cough* Pit has two reflectors while others have only one, but then again, some don't at all. First is Mirror Shield, down-B, second is Angel Ring, side-B that is also good for damage. However, he is somewhat light (surprise!) and is easy to juggle, but he's harder to chaingrab. Also, he can glide, with low lag from his attacks and low knockback from others' attacks.

Standard special: Palutena's Arrow
Side Special - Angel Ring
Up Special - Wings of Icarus
Down Special - Mirror Shield
Final Smash - Palutena's Army

Taunts - I'm assuming that you all know what taunts are. 1 - he spins his blades in each hand and crosses them, saying "The fight is on!" 2 - Slices from the air, saying "You're not ready yet!" 3 - he floats in the air gracefully looking up and falls down again.

ROLE IN SUBSPACE EMISSARY

Pit originally starts off watching a fight between Mario and Kirby, in a palace in the sky. However, after the fight, Pit witnesses the Halberd and the launch of the Subspace Army, and the Sky Goddess Palutena summons him, giving him his bow and sending him off to defeat the Subspace Army. He descends from the skies, eventually meeting up with Mario's trophy. Pit revives Mario, and the two team up to fight the Subspace Army. After a while, they catch sight of the Ancient Minister but fail to catch him, even with Pit jumping off Mario's head (though it should be the other way around). *Note: here it depends on who Kirby saves from Petey Piranha - either Peach or Zelda. I will go with Zelda.* They see a clone of Zelda made of Shadow Bugs, and defeat him. Link and Yoshi who passes by sees Pit and Mario standing with the fallen Zelda as the Shadow Bugs stream out of her. Link, furious, runs up the hill and picks a fight with Mario and Pit, as he and Zelda were related as Mario and Peach. *Now I'll explain what happens if Peach was saved, but the rest of the storyline will act as though Zelda was saved.* Pit and Mario were walking along when they see something - Link and Yoshi standing beside a fallen Peach, Shadow Bugs streaming out of her. Furious, Mario runs up the hill to where Link and Yoshi are and picks a fight with them. *Now I'll go on from the Zelda story, the only difference is that for Zelda, Link and Yoshi loses, but for Peach, Pit and Mario loses.* The fallen Link and Yoshi turns into trophies are suddenly grabbed by a mechanical claw... the claw of Wario's Cargo but driven by King Dedede! Before Pit and Mario can do more than just blink, something jumps on the Cargo, and revives two trophies - those of Link and Yoshi. Kirby, for of course it was him, hops off, and as Dedede makes an U-turn around, Link fires an arrow in attempt to stop him (if it was Pit who was turned into a trophy, then he will fire the arrow). He misses, but the five - Kirby, Pit, Mario, Yoshi and Link - set off to chase the Cargo. They arrive at King Dedede's castle, but it was in ruins - a mess made by Bowser. They catch up to the Koopa King just in time to see him with the trophy of Peach (or Zelda, but it depends on who you rescue from the piranha. The fallen princess is the princess here) and escaping. Bowser skillfully dodges the attacks made by Mario and Pit, but he escapes in his Clown Car. They abandon him and goes to explore elsewhere. Soon, they catch sight of the Ancient Minister, who they try to chase and destroy but fails. He drops a Subspace Bomb and his ROB army takes hold. When the bomb explodes, Mario escapes on Yoshi while Kirby, Link and Pit escape on the Warp Star. They barely escape, but then they catch sight of more Subspace minions and more Smashers in need of help. They jump down from a cliff to aid Marth, Ike, Ice Climbers, Lucas and Pokemon Trainer from the Subspace Army. They defeat them and soon, the Falcon Flyer and the Halberd lands next to them, with a huge explosion from the Isle of the Ancients. They all board the Halberd to battle the Subspace Gunship that emerges from the wreck, but as the Halberd sinks, individual smaller ships emerge - two Landmasters, the Hocotate ship and Samus's personal gunship. They skillfully avoid the beams shot by the SG and as Kirby and his Dragoon cut the gunship in half, they enter Subspace. However, they are just exploring and comes across a fallen Master Hand when they get hit by Tabuu's powerful Off Waves. Pit is turned into a trophy, but if he was revived he aids Kirby, Sonic, Dedede, Luigi, Lucas and whoever else that was revived to defeat Tabuu.

TROPHIES AND STICKERS

Pit (Melee): The head of Palutena's bodyguards, Pit travelled near and far to gather Three Sacred Treasures that would help him defeat the evil goddess of darkness, Medusa, and free Palutena, the goddess of light. Pit couldn't fly with his little wings, only the Wings of Icarus can let him take flight. Will Pit ever fight again?

Pit (Brawl): The captain of the royal bodyguards of Palutena, goddess of light and ruler of Angel Land. The dark goddess, Medusa, conquered the underworld, the surface world, and the heavens, and imprisoned Palutena. Pit escaped, and, armed with Palutena's magical bow, set out to free her. Along the way, he gathered Three Sacred Treasures with which he challenged Medusa.

Palutena's Army: Pit's Final Smash. An image of the goddess Palutena appears, heralding the arrival of Pit's legions, the Centurions. These flying warriors proceed to attack all enemies with fierce savagery. Once a Centurion strikes an enemy, he falls from the sky, never to fly again. Centurions are so fast that dodging them is very hard. Take heart, Centurions! Your deathes are not in vain!

Palutena's Bow: The bow Pit got from Palutena after the Medusa incident. As a standard bow, it's capable of firing arrows of light that can change direction. It can also be split to form two short swords - Pit holds one sword in his right in a standard grip and one in his left in a reverse grip. He may hold them like this so he can shift between bow and swords without losing a beat.

Eggplant Wizard, Pit, Pit, Reaper & Reapette

FUN FACTS

Pit was originally going to be in the first ever Smash Bros. game, but due to malfunctions with his wings, and also he wasn't popular enough.

His neutral B, Palutena's Bow, is similar to the Dark Arrows shot from the Dark Cannons in the Subspace Emissary.

Pit's Mirror Shield is great for pissing off opponents. If someone throws a Pokeball at the shield and it hits before landing on the ground, it will act as though Pit was the one who had thrown it. Not to mention, it can stop a lot of Final Smashes, even Samus's Zero Laser, though he can't stop the last hit.
